Lankians won the toss and elected to bat first against Rajput Samaj. Sankalpa Gunasekera (69) & Sanjeewa Wijetunga (28) continued with their good form by adding first wicket partnership of 80 in 20 overs. It was difficult to bat on a turning wicket when spinners were introduced which prevented a Lankian's drive to up the tempo. Lankians lost 7 wickets in the last 7 overs while trying to get as much as runs on a very difficult wicket as they reach 174 losing 9 wickets; Nilam Mohammed made 32.


Lankians opening bowlers started superbly with lots of variations which made scoring difficult. Nilam Mohammed (3-14) and Sanjeewa Wijetunga (3-9) ensured that by 12th over of Rajput innings their top six batsmen were back in the pavilion with the score on 23 for 6. Spinners were introduced to mop up the tail as current champions Rajput were bowled out in the 25th over for 43 runs.

Bharat Olympians have gone top of division 1 following their 25 run win over Anson. Parag Khanapurkar 75 and Gautam Patel 61 helped Bharat Olympians post 225-4 in 40 overs and than a team effort ensured Anson were restricted to 200. Sri Lankan Cavaliers condemned Kondor to relegation to as the former won by 9 wickets: Duminda Abeytunga provided the highlight of their victory with 68no. Indiana were comfortable winners against West Harrow and now have a 32 points difference over the latter.

In Division 2, top of table clash between Kingsbury Construction and Neasden resulted in a narrow 4 run win by Neasden. Neasden batted first and scored 198 for 8 off 40 overs with Murthy Kapil 63 and Amit Patel 49 making most significant contributions; Hasmukh Vekaria took 3-27. Kingsbury Construction reply was measured with Prakash Nardani scoring 49 and Dharmesh Mepani 40; however wickets fell at crucial times and KCCC fell short by 4 runs finishing with 194 for 9 of 40 overs.

 

An opening partnership of 100 runs in 20 overs between Ramya Upadhyay and Dipen Shah set Welldon on their way against Muktajivan. However a mini collapse where Welldon lost 5 wickets for only 15 runs brought Muktajivan back into the game only for Bhanvesh Agnan and Anit Patel to take the score to 200. Muktajivan were never in the hunt after Sanjay Patel blew away their top order leaving Muktajivan on 25 for 5 after 8 overs. Vrushant spun a web around the Muktajivan tail taking 5 wickets in as many overs. Sumit Agarawal made 84 for United Sports, however this wasn't enough as they lost to Shivam by 5 wickets. An all round performance from Prinay Patel of 49 and 6-27 for Dharmaj was enough to give them victory over Youth Wing.

South Harrow's Ali Khan took 4-44 as they dismissed top of the table Young Puthoharis for 96 and romped to 97-2 with Imran Jamadar 45no and Chaminda Kuruppu 24 no. DIU community of Southall posted 206-7 against Lohana thanks largely to Shiva Vara making 77 and than restricted them to 162. DIU's victory gives them some hope of avoiding relegation. Rajput Samaj II's veteran opener Sharad Desai returned to form by making 51against Baladia in their total of 156; Vijay Kerai of Baladia put in the match winning performance of 6-23 to maintain Baladia's drive for promotion. Suresh Jesani 61no ensured Baladia reached their target with 3 wickets to spare.

In the 2nd XI competition, Jaguar moved within 2 points of assuring promotion for next season. Jaguar's Pratik Acharya 186 and Varun Rawal 50 ripped into the London Lions bowling as they posted 331-7 in 40 overs; the Lion's batting was no match as they were dismissed for 143.
