Bharat Olympians remain on course to win the league championship following their win against Sri Lankan Cavaliers. Dharmesh Patel 76no and Hassan Mohammad 45 helped Bharat Olympians post 213 in their 40 overs. The Sri Lankan innings was contained as they fell short by 51 runs with Dharmesh Patel (3-29) taking the bowling honours. Rajput Samaj rediscovered their form in a closely fought one wicket win against Anson. Siddharth Desai 77 and Dillp Thakker 44 were the key in West Harrow reaching 221-9 against Kondor. Mikhil Patel 4-24 and Dhruv Patel 3-26 than bowled with determination as Kondor were bowled out for 101.


Indiana won the toss and elected to bat against Lankians. Indiana's good start to the innings was checked, however a 3rd wicket partnership of 80 by Chetan Depala 62 and Hardik Savani 55 put them back on track. Sujith Kumarasinghe came on and removed two settled batsmen with in two overs and with Sankalpa Gunasekara taking two the other end Lankians managed to address the balance. Indiana set a competitive target of 217 all out in 39 overs. Sujith (3-27) and Sankalpa (4-34) again shared 7 wickets for 61 in 15 overs.

Lankians also got off to a flying start as first two overs went for 31 runs. Sankalpa Gunasekara sent first three balls of the innings to 4, 6, 6 and another 15 runs in the next over things looked bleak for Indiana, however they managed to take 2 wickets to reduce Lankians to 39 for 2, Sankalpa Gunasekara (54) and Sujith Kumarasinghe (39) managed to put on 3rd wicket partnership of 71 runs. Soon the pressure was on Lankians as Indiana managed to tighten the grip on the match with some excellent bowling and fielding. Lankians were all out for 147 in 33 overs with Mukesh Depala taking 3-19.

 

Kingsbury Construction CC ensured promotion back to Division 1 with a comprehensive 6 wicket win over Youth Wing. Batting first, Youth Wing scored 168 for 5 of 40 overs with Jigar Patel Jnr making 64 whilst Gaurav Shiani (2-22) was the pick of the Kingsbury bowlers. In reply, Kingsbury CCC knocked off the runs off 26.4 overs, aided by wayward bowling from Youth Wing who conceded 56 extras, finishing on 170 for 4 with Neelesh Patel (32) and Dharmesh Mepani (22no) being the other main contributors. Mohit Patel made 63 for Dharmaj in their match against Muktajivan as they posted 182 in 36 overs; the latter were bowled out for 129 with Tushar Patel (4-26), Nirav Mehta 3-25 and Tapan Patel 3-40 all made significant contributions.

After a slow start United Sports middle and late order upped the tempo and scored 208 runs, Ramya Upadhyay taking 3 wickets in 4 balls for Welldon in the last over. Jignesh Patel made 75. Dipen Shah (93) and Ramya Upadhyay (72not out) had a 134 run 3rd wicket partnership to take Welldon to victory. Shivam's Dipak Samgi made 55 of their 154 against Neasden; Monthy Kapil than swiftly scored 79 as Neasden reached their target of 155 for 5 in 25.4 overs. Neasden are promoted along side Kingsbury Construction.

In division 3, Lohana's Mittal Hirani produced the best bowling figures for the day as he took 7 for 21 against Sayona. Sayona were bowled out for 54 in 12 overs which Lohana passed in 8 overs as Vikash Savani made 22no. Baladia Youth Club assured themselves of promotion as they defeated South Harrow by 3 wickets. Rajput Samaj's Pratik Patel took 6-16 in their win over DIU Community of Southall.

In the 2nd XI competition, DIU Daredevils elected to bat first against United Sports II. Ashish Narendra top scored with 52 as DIU Daredevils were bowled out for 175 in 36.5 overs. United Sports II slumped to 60-5, however a undefeated stand between Ramesh D (70no) and Nitesh Patel (38) saw United recorded their first league win for 2 seasons whilst as the same time DIU Daredevils tasted league defeat for the first time in a league fixture with the comfort of been divisional champions.
