SECRETARY'S MESSAGE 2008

This is the 17th year of competitions organised on behalf of the Middlesex Premier Cricket League. We welcome Baladia Youth Club and DIU CC.

Every player in the League explicitly acknowledges by virtue of his participation, the constitution of the League and its procedures, and undertakes to be bound by them, including suspension without appeal. Any player reported by an umpire for bad behavior shall be banned for next MPCL fixture and increase ban for any further offence to two fixtures. Umpire will inform the player and captain that a report will be submitted to league.

Any player reported by an umpire for bad behavior for the second time in any one season will have his conduct reviewed by committee

The compulsory league meetings for all clubs are:

Friday 4th July 2008
Mid-season meeting, 7.30-10.00pm. Venue to be advised

Sunday 7th December 2008
AGM, 1.30-6.00pm Venue to be advised

Sunday 5th April 2009 (TBC)
Pre-season meeting, 1.30-5.00pm. Venue to be advised.

All matches on 7th September 2008 shall start at 1.00pm and the latest starting time in a weather-affected match on this day shall be 2.30pm. The results will also appear on our website http://www.middxpremier.com

League presentation dinner & dance will take place 1st or 2nd weekend in November 2008; all ticket enquires should be directed to Hari Balasubramaniam. Tickets should be available from Hari at the mid-season meeting.

All player registrations should be sent to Hari Balasubramaniam.
