A few facts on Short Breaks.

Transfers - each city break operator varies in whether they provide transfers from the destination airport and back. Check this at the time of booking.

Excursions - check if there are any sight seeing trips or other tours that may be pre-booked in the UK or with the overseas rep whilst on holiday.

Some tours, holiday types or destinations may not be suitable for younger children due to lack of special child or medical facilities. The hotels' definition of "child's age" does vary, but will be indicated in all brochures. Airline definitions remain standard (open). Infant when under 2 years and child 2-11 years (inclusive) on date of travel.

Accommodation - the star ratings shown in different brochures are based on the latest official lists, though star ratings can vary in standard from one country to another. Some 2 or 3 star hotels particularly in city centres have much smaller bedrooms than those in the summer holiday resorts. Public facilities such as bars and restaurants may only open if there is sufficient demand, particularly in low season.

Public Holidays abroad plus religious events - most brochures give information on public holidays and special events in good faith. It is to be noted that during these times banks, shops, restaurants may be closed. In Muslim countries dates of religious feasts and festivals are fixed by local sightings by the moon, thus cannot be pinpointed in advance. Ramadan, which is observed for one month each year, is a period of fasting when the pace of life is slower, public areas are busier and restrictions can apply on alcohol consumption and restaurant facilities (outside the hotels and cruise boats).

With over one hundred short break destinations and a seemingly endless choice of things to go I guess we'll catch up with you in an extremely long while!
