The Bollywood Music and Fashion Awards are set to take place on Saturday, Nov 17th 2007 in the “Mark G. Etess” Arena at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Performances by Alisha Chinai, Kumar Sanu, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sukhbir, Caribbean superstars Rooplall Gordharie, Geeta Bisram and the Angels Caribbean Band and many more stars will entertain the audience.

The aim of the event is to stimulate creativity amongst the world's most talented fashion designers and to bring awareness of India's fashion industry. Awards will be given for the best collections as well as to Indian celebrities who display outstanding sense of individual style. In addition to the awards, 20 top models from India and America will showcase the collections of leading Indian Designers Manish Malhotra and Suneet Verma.

ABOUT MANISH MALHOTRA

Manish Malhotra’s is responsible for the trend-setting creations worn by actresses Aishwarya Rai, Madhuri Dixit, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar, and many more. Manish has won a plethora of Awards for style and designing. He even attired Michael Jackson in a kurta pajama at the first Bollywood Awards! His creations show incredible exuberance and a willingness to experiment rarely seen in most designers. Manish has done the interior designing for one of Bombay’s hottest new spots ‘Soy’ and is now assisting Yash Chopra on a film, as he has plans to direct a film on his own soon.

SUNEET VERMA

Suneet Verma graduated from the London school of fashion and worked with couturiers Nicole Farhi in London and Yves Saint Laurent, Paris. Suneet retails his signature couture line at Delhi, Mumbai, Dubai, London, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and the USA. He has singularly been chosen by the top Indian families to design and dress the entire families for their weddings and special occasions, including the Lakshmi Mittal wedding in Paris and several others.

As a consultant designer, Suneet has done development work for several design houses in Europe and the USA including Donna Karan, Calvin Klien Caroline Heirara and Nicole Miller. Suneet has been one the pioneers of the Indian fashion industry and has now become a leading name the India fashion industry. He is also the founding member of the FDCI (The Fashion Design Council of India).

According to Kamal Dandona, Chairman of the Bollywood Awards, "This year’s hottest singers, designers and models are all set to perform at the Bollywood Music and fashion Awards and set the stage on fire".
