TMG have announced that nominations for the Global South Asian Media Awards 2005 are officially open. Nominations are invited from achievers in the categories of: Global Achievers, Film, Theatre, Drama, Music, Politics, News/TV Presenters, Sport, Fashion, Literature, Arts, Boundary Breakers and Western Artistes 'moving East'. Nominees for this year's awards include Karan Johar, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Amir Khan, Pratibha Parmer and Farah Khan.

In additional to these exclusive awards, the TMG committee also intend to honour the best International Event Organisers who have played a key part in highlighting the best of South Asian Culture in the global mainstream media. Such nominations will include Awards Ceremonies, Exhibitions and Conference organisers etc.

The Top two winners of last year's awards; Aishwarya Rai and Haresh Sood have also been recognised for their added achievements in the mainstream media.

The Bollywood actress and former Miss World is currently involved in the British Film 'Provoked'. The film is based on a true story of an Indian woman who becomes the victim of serious domestic violence. The Aishwarya Rai Foundation plans to build a Medical Centre in India. Aishwarya will also appear on the Oprah Winfrey show in 204 countries and the show will air in North America.

Global Ambassador to TMG, the multi-talented actor/singer Haresh Sood, currently at world renowned Acting School; ArtsEd London, has just finished performing the theatrical representation as Hippolytus in Sarah Kane's Phaedra's Love for which he has received much credited acclaim. Haresh is said to shortly begin filming for the Spanish/English film 'Yo Lo Vi', the film is based on the effects of the Iraq war. Haresh Sood Productions are also about to launch their 10th Anniversary plans in which Haresh will do a Skydive for Epilepsy this year.

Haresh announced "This is a wonderful and unique opportunity to showcase the crème de la crème of South Asians, people who are making their mark abroad! So please hurry and get your nominations in as quickly as possible!'

Nominations deadline August 31st 2005. The global awards will be announced in November/December this year by Global media figure and National Convenor for Australians for a Constitutional Monarchy, David Flint.
